How to become a member
Who can become active member of FESET?
Education & training organisations either preparing for a socio-educational position through post-secondary education & training of at least three years' duration awarded with a diploma, a certificate or other equivalent qualification, issued by a competent authority or preparing for a socio-educational position through post-secondary education & amp; training of at least two years' duration awarded with a diploma, a certificate or other equivalent qualification, issued by a competent authority.
A socio-educational position is that of a professional who, after specific training, in pedagogical and social methods and techniques, takes care of the personal and social development of his/her clients: young children, handicapped and troubled children, adolescents and adults. (S)he shares with them different situations. (S)he participates in their lives on a continuous basis, whether in residential care or in the community.
An organisation for post-secondary education & amp; training which does not fulfill the above mentioned conditions can also apply for membership of FESET. The final decision is made by the General Assembly.
Who can become associate members of FESET? Any association or organisation which takes an interest in FESET's activities, as well as individuals who are or who have been employed at an education & training institution meeting the criteria mentioned in these statutes' article 2, either as a teacher/tutor or as a head of institution or department.
The members contribute to the functioning of FESET by paying an annual subscription, fixed by the General Assembly.
The annual fee for ordinary members is 240 € (euros) for a year: it has not been changed since 2002 and allows each school to a free subscription to the European Journal of Social Education.
Should you wish to affiliate to FESET as an active member, you may simply contact Inge Danielsen, id (at) ucc.dk asking for a Membership Application Form.
Applicants for individual associate membership should state only their private address, phone, fax. Annual fees for this category of members is fixed at 50 € (euros).
