Keynote Marcel JAEGER

Keynote Marcel JAEGER

Professor in CNAM (Conservatoire national des arts et métiers ) in PARIS (F):  Social Work Chair and social intervention since 1.03.2010 and Director of the Department “Law, Social Intervention, Health, Labo” since 1.10.2010. He is member since 2003 of the interdisciplinary Laboratory for economic sociology (LISE UMR-CNRS).

Holds a degree in Philosophy (1970) and PhD in Sociology, he worked several years in psychiatry. His thesis was published under the title The psychiatric disorder – Mental health policies in France Editions Payot (1981). Before he got a nursing diploma in psychiatric (1982), a Certificate of ‘Ability to Management of Establishment Social Functions (1994) and a diploma from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris in Bussiness Sociology, associative workings option (1998). Before taking office at CNAM, he held the positions of lecturer and director of the School of educators Versailles (Buc Resources), director of the Center for assistance through the work for mental disabilities  Montesson ( Yvelines) and of the Regional Institute of social work Montrouge (Hauts-de-Seine) and Neuilly-sur-Marne (Seine-Saint-Denis). Finally, he was project manager for the National Mission Support Mental Health.

Marcel Jaeger is the author of different books, namely for Dunod Press “Social and medico-social sectors guide users or citizens?” 8th Ed.2011;  “The use of categories in social and medico-social action” (ed., 2011), “To join health and social (3rd Ed., 2012). He co-wrote with Jean-François BAUDURET, “Restoring Social Welfare and Healthcare: stories of a Re-foundation (2nd Ed., 2005).

He was appointed to the Superior Council of Social Work and the Scientific Council of the National Agency for Assessment of social and medico-social (ANESM). He is Chairman of the Scientific Council of the National Observatory for Children at Risk (ONED). Responsible for leading a working group and make recommendations to the Ministry of Social Affairs on cooperation between training institutions preparing for social work degrees and universities, it submitted its report in October 2012.
